My favorite thing
DRUUUMSSS!
One of my material favorite thing is the drum kit. That amazing instrument of instruments jajaj. Each drum and cymbal of it makes powerful sounds which you can make rhythms with it and be able to move people and make it dance, it's wonderful for me. You can make infinite posibilities of patterns, rhythms, beats, and everything that you want to do, being curious with it and practicing a lot.
I bought an electric drum kit 4 years ago, because I live in an apartement so it is impossible to have an acoustic and "real" drum set in there. However I prefer play in a acoustic drum set. I can feel a different perception of its sounds and the beats. But I can pratice on my drums and relief myself a part of my emotions and stress.
I like to learn the drum track of the songs that I like, do some covers and try to play it the most similar to the real.
Now I have my band in the university so I play more often than the past years, and since we play metal songs (which I never did), it makes me improve quite a bit, and I'm proud jajaja.
If I never try to play the drums, maybe I wouldn't love this much music, as a passion. And maybe I would focus on the bass guitar, cause it happen the same thing as the drums: I get fascinated when I hear a bass solo, or the harmony it makes with the guitar and/or the voice and/or the drums. (One of my favorites bass player is Flea, of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and of the same band, my favorite drummer is Chad Smith)
Here I leave a video of a toccata in the university this year. The sound is not that good, neither the lightning, but it was fun jajaj... and yeah, we made a lot of mistakes
